Jay Freeman is a licensed Texas insurance agent with over 30 years experience, specializing in the issuance and placement of the Texas SR-22. He is the owner of ConceptSR22.com and Accurate Concept Insurance in Dallas, Texas. In addition to his insurance career, he is also an accredited State Bar Sponsor and regularly presents CLE courses for Criminal Defense Groups and Bar Associations around the state. Jay is a proud member of TCDLA and DCDLA.

Jeff Nicholson graduated from the Texas Tech School of Law in 1990. A solo practitioner in Lubbock, Jeff works mostly in the area of violent crime. He has written and published three novels: The End of the Innocence, The Fireman, and The Old Detective. Writing and playing music are his hobbies.

Jeff Wood received his JD from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. Beginning in 2009, he served as a prosecutor in Smith County, working his way up from a misdemeanor prosecutor to a first-chair felony prosecutor, before joining the R. Kelly Pace firm in 2015. Jeremy Rosenthal is the managing partner of Rosenthal & Wadas, PLLC, the largest criminal defense law firm in Collin County. Jeremy has done over 200 jury trials and is a former prosecutor in Collin County. He is the past president of the McKinney Bar Association, a Board Member of TCDLA, where he also serves as co-chairman of the Technology Committee, and the editor of the Voice for the Defense Blog. Jessica Canter

Jessica Canter received her JD from the University of New Hampshire in 2014 and has a BA in Political Science from UT at San Antonio. She is First Assistant Public Defender at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid’s Rural Defender Service in Beeville, TX, where she represents clients in Bee, Live Oak, and McMullen counties. Jessica Johnson

Jessica Johnson is a Virginia native who received her undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. She made her way to Texas through her enrollment in the University of Texas School of Law. She expects to graduate in May 2015 and will tackle the Texas Bar in July 2015. She hopes to remain in Texas and provide legal services to underserved populations, specifically in the realm of civil rights, family law, or criminal law. In her spare time, she plays roller derby with the Texas Rollergirls.

Jim Bethke

Jim Bethke serves as the Executive Director of the Texas Indigent Defense Commission. The Commission is charged with implementing a statewide system of standards, financing, and other resources for criminal defendants unable to hire attorneys. He is also an ex-officio member Governor Perry’s Criminal Justice Advisory Council and a member of the Texas Criminal Justice Integrity Unit.
